Dear Whitlock Families,
We hope this letter finds you and your family well as we welcome the spring season at Whitlock Elementary! We would like to begin by expressing our sincere appreciation for your participation in this year’s family surveys. Your feedback plays a vital role in helping us grow and better serve our students, staff, and families. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
As we move further into the spring, we want to remind you that CAPE testing for students in grades 3 through 5 will begin on Monday, April 22nd, 2025. This is an important time for our students to show what they’ve learned throughout the year. We encourage you to help your child prepare by reinforcing a few simple but effective strategies:
•Go to bed early each night to ensure they are well-rested.
•Get lots of rest in the days leading up to and during testing.
•Eat a healthy breakfast and bring a nutritious snack to stay energized and focused.
•Arrive to school on time each day to start the day calmly and confidently.
Your support at home makes a big difference in your child’s readiness and confidence during testing.
Lastly, we are excited to announce that enrollment for the 2025–2026 school year is now open! We invite you to stop by the main office at your earliest convenience to complete your child’s enrollment. Our team is happy to assist you with any questions or needs during the process.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Whitlock community. We are grateful for your continued partnership and look forward to a successful and joyful end to the school year!
Warmly,
Malaika Golden
Principal

To attend school, students must be current with their immunizations. Immunization compliance is documented by submitting a completed Universal Health Certificate to the school at the time of enrollment. Medical forms can be accessed here. These should be turned in to the school as part of the enrollment process, and any updated forms throughout the school year should be submitted to the school nurse.
